Melissa is a paralegal in the Private Family Law team and is gaining invaluable experience in matters including divorce and finances, children disputes and applications concerning non-molestation order and occupation order.
Melissa takes pride in her approachable and responsive nature, maintaining a personable and transparent approach to instil client confidence.
Melissa achieved a First-Class Law with American Law degree from the University of Nottingham, graduating in the top 10% of her cohort. Melissa was awarded the inaugural Midland Circuit Scholarship to complete the Barristers Training Course in 2024.
She has previously worked as a Support Through Court volunteer in Nottingham Family Court, supporting clients who were expecting difficult times. She also completed a study abroad year at the University of Texas at Austin, where she assisted clients on death row through the Capital Punishment Clinic. Melissa drafted constitutional arguments for cases before the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals and she also visited clients on death row.
Melissa has a passion for helping people and her experience ensures she provides clients with an empathetic and supportive approach.
