Laura is a paralegal in the housing and public law team. She assists with a range of cases including possession, disrepair, homelessness and public law matters.
Laura joined HMB in September 2026 after a 15 year career in campaigning filmmaking, producing BAFTA winning documentaries and factual dramas on issues including the privatised water industry and corporate criminality in Dirty Business, executive law breaking in Partygate, and zero hours exploitation and the impact of local authority debt outsourcing in Killed By My Debt.
Throughout her career, Laura has sought to advocate for victims of injustice, working with them to hold public bodies and organisations to account. This commitment motivated her transition to law, and she completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Law in September 2026 before joining HMB.
Laura has previously volunteered at Prisoners’ Advice Service and refugee charity Breaking Barriers.
