Helen joined Hopkin Murray Beskine with Martin Wray from Aitken Harter in June 2015.
As partners at Aitken Harter they had led the public law family team there.
She brings to Hopkin Murray Beskine a wealth of experience in all areas of family law, having in addition been a founding partner of Aitken Associates (previously Aitken Kelly Associates)
Helen qualified as a solicitor in 1999 and has a long established family law practice, with a breadth of knowledge reaching across all areas of family law, as well as strong and effective advocacy skills.
Helen specialises in the law relating to children and is an experienced member of the Law Society’s children panel.
She acts for parents in cases where they cannot agree as to the future arrangements for their children after separation or divorce.
She acts for children and parents in care proceedings, including the most complex cases where there have been alleged non-accidental injuries, sexual abuse or concurrent criminal proceedings.
Helen has been appointed to act in cases requiring an exceptional degree of specialist knowledge in the field of children law, and cases which as a result of their content or the personalities involved, involve very strong emotional issues or heightened conflicts.
She is often instructed in cases involving very tragic circumstances.
