Elly is a solicitor in the private family department.
Elly advises and assists clients in a wide range of family related matters, including:
- In relation to parents disputing or wishing to reach an agreement in the arrangements for their children, including contact between separated parents, residence disputes, relocation applications, disputes surrounding schools and health decisions for children.
- Supporting clients going through a relationship breakdown, including divorce, civil partnership dissolution or separation and financial issues arising out of a divorce.
- Supporting clients seeking protection from harm or, where appropriate, in defending applications, including applying for protective orders such as non-molestation orders and occupation orders.
- Working with parties in reaching agreements, whether it be a parental, pre-nuptial or cohabitation agreement.
Elly joined Hopkin Murray Beskine as a paralegal in July 2022 before commencing her training contract in April 2024. She qualified as a solicitor into the family law and divorce team in April 2026. Prior to her training contract, Elly gained valuable experience within the public childcare department, where she assisted on cases with parents involving Local Authority intervention. This included work at the pre-proceedings stage and care proceedings.
Through this work, Elly developed a strong understanding of the challenges faced by vulnerable clients, including those with mental health difficulties and issues relating to substance misuse. She is experienced in working sensitively with such clients and is committed to ensuring they feel supported and understood throughout the legal process.
Elly graduated with an LLB Law degree from Bournemouth University in 2022 and went on to complete her LLM LPC at the University of Law, studying part-time alongside her role at Hopkin Murray Beskine.
