Ava Lockyear
Ava is a trainee solicitor in the housing and public law team.
Ava joined Hopkin Murray Beskine as a paralegal in September 2022. After graduating with a BSc in Natural Sciences in 2018, Ava worked as an environmental campaigner before deciding to pursue a career in law. Ava completed the Graduate Diploma in Law in 2021 while volunteering part-time as an immigration and housing caseworker. Ava then worked in-house at an environmental NGO specialising in strategic litigation, assisting with judicial review claims.
Ava assists with judicial review claims and a range of housing cases, including homelessness cases, unlawful eviction and disrepair claims, and defending possession proceedings. She is also studying part-time towards qualification as a solicitor.
