Hopkin Murray Beskine announces senior leadership changes
As from 2025 Sarah Beskine, founding partner and Head of Family, is changing her role with Hopkin Murray Beskine. Sarah will be continuing to support the firm as a non-practising consultant.
Sarah founded Hopkin Murray Beskine in 1993 along with Valerie Murray and Barbara Hopkin, and she will be ceasing her full time case worker role at the end of 2024, 37 years after undertaking her first case as a trainee in 1987.
As a hugely experienced and well renowned family lawyer, Sarah will be remaining as a non-practising consultant to the firm, offering guidance and support to our specialist private family team.
Sarah will also be continuing to develop her work in the field of family parenting guidance and public mediation.

Sarah says:
“I am so proud of the achievements of Hopkin Murray Beskine, and how the firm has developed in the three decades since we began. We were, and remain, one of a kind: our practice offers the highest standards of professionalism, advice, and dynamic guidance, always offering individual bespoke representation, always personable and accessible.
“We are a real life firm, offering a real life practice, remaining true to the principles of integrity, client care and professionalism which inspired Barbara Hopkin, Valerie Murray and myself when we set up the firm in 1993.”
Award-winning director, Serena Sandhu said “I have been very fortunate to have worked with Sarah in the team, and look forward to her continued support ahead.” The next project will be a collaboration with counsel, Mani Singh Basi of 4PB at a conference planned for summer 2025 to follow on from our recent successes at the Family Law Week conference in October 2024.
