Legal Aid Agency cyber-attack
We understand that our clients may be aware from reporting in the national press that the Legal Aid Agency has recently experienced a cyber-attack. At present the only information we have is that “a significant amount of personal data” belonging to people who have applied to the Legal Aid Agency for funding since 2010 was accessed and downloaded in April 2025.
The advice from the Ministry of Justice for those who may be affected is that you should be particularly vigilant in relation to calls or messages from unknown numbers, and that you should update any passwords that may have been compromised.
We take the protection of our clients’ personal data extremely seriously and have security measures in place to protect it. We will post any updating information about the breach as and when we receive it. In the meantime if you would like further information please follow this link
