Martin Wolfenden is a solicitor dealing with all aspects of family law.
He qualified as a solicitor in 1990, specialising in family law, previously a partner for over eight years before joining Hopkin Murray Beskine in July 2014 as a leading member of their family team.
Martin has a particular expertise in advising on all aspects of relationship breakdown with significant experience in matters where there are complex financial issues including properties, pensions, issues surrounding the preservation of assets and business assets as well as cases where there are more limited assets. He also advises on applications under the Trusts of Land and Appointment of Trustee Act, pre and post nuptial settlements, separation agreements and co-habitation agreements. A trained mediator, Martin is also instructed at the legal advisor on family mediation agreements.
Martin has provided legal advice on the family duty schemes at the Family Courts in both Barnet and Edmonton.
Martin is able to think strategically and tactically whilst at the same time giving clients thoughtful and thorough advice to ensure that the case is well planned. Using his experience he is able to ensure that the opportunity of reaching an early settlement is considered but is also able to protect his client’s position.
