Celene studied law at the London School of Economics (University of London) and then trained with Winstanley Burgess where she dealt with all aspects of human rights law.
She chose to specialise as a family lawyer and joined Hopkin Murray Beskine’s family team in 2003.
Celene has conduct of a range of cases including care proceedings, contact and residence disputes and in cases where there are issues of domestic violence. She has a particular interest and expertise in representing parents with mental health difficulties particularly new mothers experiencing post natal depression.
In 2011 Celene was approved as a member of the Law Society Children Panel.
As a French speaker, Celene is often asked to represent clients from West Africa and Mauritius. She has also advised at Hearthstone, a domestic violence advice and support centre set up by Haringey Council.
